BEMUS is an international event first held in 1969, which today is the oldest and most important music festival in Serbia. In recent years, some of the most famous ensembles and individual performers have taken part in Bemus, such as the Royal Concerthebau Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, the Turin RAI Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra,The New York Philharmonic and many, many others. However, it is not only well-known performers represented at the festival. Bemus also provides an opportunity for young musicians at the beginning of their careers to express themselves in his concert halls, and attention is also paid to alternative forms of musical performance of the contemporary type.
